ANTALYA

Antalya also known as the Turkish Riviera, located southwest of Turkey on the Mediterranean sea, where the pine clad Toros (Taurus) Mountains sweep down to the sparkling clear sea, is the tourism capitel of Turkey.

With its nice landscape, vacation places, accommodation possibilities and the archeological heritages from previous civilizations it is called therefore as the “paradise of tourism”. Antalya was named in the earlier times as Pamphylia and has been founded by Atallus II, King of Pergamum in the 2nd Century BC.

The region bathed in sunshine for 300 days of the year, is a paradise for summer holidays, swimming, all kind of watersports, yachting and Golf. The nice mountains are ideal for trekking and  mountaineering. If you come to Antalya in March or April, you can even ski at Saklıkent in the mornings and in the afternoons swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean. Kaleici (Old city), Kaleici Old Harbour, Hadrian’s Gate, Hıdırlık Tower, Kesik Minaret Mosque, Yivli Minaret Mosque, Antalya Museum, Antalya Atatürk’s House Museum, Upper and Lower Düden Waterfalls, Kursunlu Waterfalls, Ancient Cities Perge and Aspendos Theatre are one of the most important sightseeing places to visit in and around Antalya.

MANAVGAT

Manavgat is the second largest district of Antalya with a surface area of 2283 km2 and is 70 km away from Antalya. The towns of Çolaklı, Side, Ilıca, Sarılar, Gündoğdu, Oymapınar, Kızılot, Taşağıl, Evrenseki. Although the date of the foundation of the town of Manavgat is not given a certain date in the borders of the ancient cities of Side and Selge BC. It is believed that they were founded in the 6th century.

SIDE

Side City, which is intertwined with Selimiye Village, which is now a tourist center in the east of Antalya, is 78 km from Antalya and 7 km from the town center Manavgat. Alanya, Manavgat, Serik, Kumköy, Çolaklı, Ilıca and Kızılot are among the main neighbors of the town.

SIDE in the Old Side language means NAR, symbolizing abundance. Today, the region is located within the boundaries of Antalya, in the north Toroslar, the Mediterranean in the south and the Manavgat River bounded by the region in the antiquity was known as Pamphylia. It is known from the historical ruins that the history of Side dates back to the Hittites. The city, which was built on a peninsula measuring 350-400 meters in length, extending from the north-south direction towards the sea, was preserved by the walls against attacks in the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

Side Side, the ancient Side Theater meeting visitors, aqueducts, baths, agora, Temple of Apollo and Athena, Side Fountain, Side Museum are worth seeing. In addition to its natural and cultural values, Side offers various alternatives with entertainment, shopping and accommodation options.

BELEK

Belek is 30 km from Antalya Airport and 40 km from Antalya City Center. High 5 star luxury hotel in quality, has become Turkey's most important and largest golf center with golf course on the 10's in international standards. A place where the Mediterranean meets with all the beauties of the forest, the sea and the Taurus Mountains. Since many hotels are equipped with professional football grounds, the region is also preferred by football teams for domestic and foreign football teams.

BOLU

Located in the western Black Sea Region, BOLU with its loftymountains, thickforests, beautifullakes, healthgivingthermalspringsand ski centresone of the popular cities of Turkey.Thislovelycity is 190 km from Ankara and 260 km from Istanbul.

Yedigöller National Park,  42 km North of Bolu, consists of severallakes in varioussizes. Duetoitsspecial flora the park is an ideal locationforpicnicking, trekkingandcamping.

Abant Lake, this lake spreadingover 125 hectaresareawith an elevation of 1325 m, is located 34 km southwest of thecitycentre. Surroundedbypine, firandbeechtrees, the lake areaunderthecontrol of theMinistry of Environment andForesty is a popular site forsummerandwinterretreats.

Gölcük Lake, located 13 km South tothecitycentre is an artificial lake occupying an area of 45.000 sqm. Surroundedbypineandfirtrees, the lake offers a superbview in winters.

Gerede Plateausand Esentepe, theplateausandresorts on Esentepe andArkutMountainareplaces of restingfordomesticandforeigntourists in summer. With an elevation of 1300 m, Esentepetrises in the North of Gerede districtand has an amazingview.  Because of itscontinuouswinds, the name Esentepe wasgiventotheareaby Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, thefounder of theTurkishRepublic. Besidesgrassskiing, picnickingandcamping in summers, thearea is alsosuitableforwintersports.

Bolu Thermal Springs, are in Karacasu location, 5 km South of thecitycentre. Surroundedbyforests, thislocationwasdeclared as a “THERMAL TOURISM CENTRE” bytheMinistry of CultureandTourism. Thenaturalthermalwatersaresaidto be beneficialfordermatoligical, rheumaticandheartdiseases. Thehistory of Bolu Thermalspringswith a temperature of 45 degreesstretches far backtotheByzantines. Therearealsomanyotherthermalsprings in Bolu.

Kartalkaya Ski Centre; located on thepeak of theKörogluMountains (2378 m) 38 km South of Bolu, theKartalkaya Ski Centre is themost popular placeforwintersportfans. Thecentre is equippedwith  13 ski runs (30 km length in total) and 9 ski lifts.

DÜZCE

Düzce is located in the Western Black SeaRegion, at theimportanthighwayjuncturebetweenIstanbuland Ankara. It is surroundedbytheprovinces Sakarya at thewest, Bolu at southandsouth-east, Zonguldak at north-east. The traditional Turkish sweet Pismaniye is produced in this region and a well known and preferred sweet.
